Safety First
We've been looking through the market for solutions for automatically flushing mechanical systems where an electronic controlled outlet with a duty flush isn't appropriate. Once we couldn't find anything we invented the DELTA the system designed with hygiene in mind.
As a family we have worked in and around the plumbing and heating business for 2 generations and we're not planning on stopping anytime soon. Our unique legionella protection system works in conjunction with a robust system of water safety in order to help reduce the bacterial proliferation in water systems.
We are working to reduce stagnation of water whilst also reducing the amount of time you and your estates teams are devoting to flushing systems manually. With systems set up for the requirements of Healthcare as well as commercial applications we are confident we can work together to find the correct solution for you.
Legionella
Legionella is a real issue within water systems and can present real dangers for your customers and colleagues if left untreated.
The standard advice in the market is that as with most things prevention is better than cure and a robust water safety plan is the best way in which to achieve that. When looking at legionella specifically the typical advice in the market is to keep the hot water hot, the cold water cold, and keep the water moving. The benefit of this is that legionella requires temperatures between 20-45°C for optimal proliferation and will be dormant below 20°C and will be destroyed at 60°C.
Keeping water at temp is almost impossible to guarantee, external factors affect temperature on a regular basis. One of the factors we can control is the stagnation aspect. This is the one aspect of the water system we are in complete control over and this is where the Delta comes into play. There are multiple fantastic systems of water flushing on the market with varying degrees of sophistication. Our system is unique in that it can be used leading up to any outlet and also will only deliver a flush where required which is to say if your water hasn't moved through the outlet we are attached to for your flush check time a flush will be delivered directly to waste but if the outlets are being used no flush will occur.
Delta will help prevent the stagnation and help to keep your CFU counts low and your outlets in service and operational.
Intelligent Anti-stagnation Flush
How it works
Every Delta System utilises an Intelligent Anti-stagnation flush. What this means is we work with you to ensure our system is tailored to meet your requirements rather than doing what the market tends to do and asking you to make your requirements tailor to fit our system. We achieve this by getting three pieces of information from you at the point of order which we ensure is programmed into the AutoFlushing device.
- Inactivity Flush Timer - How long would you like the system to be left to run before flushing if it is not used?
- Inactivity Flush Duration - How long would you like the system to flush for?
- Minimum Totalised Flow - What is the minimum quantity of water you wish to pass through the system before the Flush Timer restarts?
In this way we ensure flushing regimes are tailored to suit your needs and requirements. If your needs change down the line and you need to adjust the timings don't worry, we can come to site and update this for you allowing you to future proof yourself against changing regulations.
Intelligent Temperature Control
Alongside our Anti-stagnation flushing we also offer temperature control. Again we ensure this is suited to your requirements and not prescribed to you. we do this by asking you for five pieces of information:
- Hot Water Temp Set Point A - what is the lowest temperature you will allow the water to reach? After it drops below this temperature the system will begin to flush.
- Hot Water Temp Set Point B - What is the desired system Temperature? The system will continue flushing until this temperature is reached or exceeded.
- Cold Water Temp Set Point A - What is the maximum temperature you will allow the cold water to reach? once it has exceeded this temperature it will begin flushing.
- Cold Water Temp Set Point B - what is the desired Cold Water Temperature? Water will flush until this temperature is reached or has dropped below.
- Maximum Flush Time - For how long would you like the system to continue flushing until it decides it can not reach Set B and signals an alarm?
By doing this we ensure our system is designed to work for you and work with your systems. Finally with the alarms we offer two options, you can have either an audible klaxon alarm or a high intensity flashing light as per your preference.
